Not just direct Amy's folks, but also people who had met him just once, and all of his suppliers, plumbers, and electricians.  It was the dream service the rest of us could only hope to have.  His three wonderful sisters have been worried that Phil was lonely here in Austin without his tight-knit family in Sealy, Texas.  They were astounded by all of the love and friendship, but not surprised:  Phil was special.

Phil's Icehouse is named in tribute to this man who touched so many lives.  Our hope is that it is a place where many happy memories are made and Phil can continue to be a part of our lives.

As a side note:  Founder Steve Simmons is often mistakenly called Phil (for obvious reasons).  Folks worry when they hear Phil's story that they have brought up something sad, but it is an honor for Steve to share the legacy of this amazing man, and he is never bothered by the confusion.
